It’s as good as you expect, imo. But the twist here is that they did a 1/4 mile, and a 1/2 mile because we’ve no reached a point where some cars ar e only coming into their own near the end of the 1/4.

My predictions were the Senna would be fastest and the overachieving 911 would place top 3 in the 1/4, the Dodge would be mid-pack, and the GT350/Supra/M2 trio would be last in some combination.

For those who want the quick skinny: Senna is fastest

For those who want the second skinny: Senna is still fastest

For the Parshfiles, just wait until the real Turbo comes out holy heckin hell.

The launch from the Mercedes, that’s insane. I’d also like to take a second to appreciate that a stop Supra ran 12’s. Pretty impressive  numbers for a car that you can go down to your local Toyota dealer and buy for $60k.

Fun watching the Senna just take off once power and aero really come into play.

And, yeah, the Turbo is going to be nuts.

The 911 did that with just 443 horsepower.

The level of performance the 992 C4S attains with “only” 440ish horsepower is, frankly, amazing.

The Senna just went like Saturn V.

And it’s awesome to live in a world where we can do THIS much, with JUST 443hp. The T urbo will be insanity.

The gearing in the GT350, while having a 3.73 rear end, is SUPER long. Because of that, and the incredibly grippy tires, the car is actually tricky to launch and more often than not bogs down a bit before it gets going, but again, even once u nder way it still has that long gearing to contend with. Add to all that the super wide and sticky front tires as well, and you have all that additional rotational mass and rolling resistance which are the enemies of acceleration.

Great for road courses, not great for launching and drag racing. But then again, it is a track car...

It isn’t the quickest in a straight line factory stock, but what it IS is one of the most rewarding and exhilarating cars to drive, period.

I have a 2020 Velocity Blue one on order and I know I’m gonna hear my share of numbers and specs from the bench racers when I take delivery and encounter those types of people, so I’m prepared, but at the same time the “comparison stats” are the last thing I care about and I have no regrets about it.

This car isn’t about the numbers; it’s about the drive. It’s not only built for the curves, but thanks to the factory running gear and accessories, it’s built to take the abuse all day long without even breaking a sweat.
